A Parent's Job is Never Done

Five children plus a foal and kitten meant there really was never a dull moment at home for Timmothy and Elizabeth. Faith was finally in school but they spent their days cleaning and taking care of the girls and baby boys. For Timmothy, it mean a never-ending list of to-do’s from Elizabeth and it seemed he was always fixing the washing machine. He never thought one family could go through so many clothes!

When he wasn’t busy repairing the broken washing machine, Francesca kept him busy. She was a fussy little girl and demanded attention. She didn’t want to be held, didn’t want to be put down, didn’t want to sleep but was tired. She was simply exhausting to care for. A good thing she’s cute!

Thankfully big sister Faith didn’t mind her grumpy baby sister. She loved to help her parents with her younger siblings. She would often keep Francesca entertained, telling her stories about princesses and magic frogs. Francesca was mesmerized by Faith and it never failed, when Faith was with her, Francesca was a happy and quiet baby.

Danielle was also eager to help with Francesca. She’d spend time with the little girl helping her to talk, walk or just generally stay busy and out of her parent’s hair for a while. Francesca loved her aunt and loved to be around her any time.

The boys were growing up so quickly. Little Freddie grew up first. He looks a lot like his mommy!

Farin aged up next. The boys looked a lot alike, and both like their mother. Elizabeth loved all of Farin’s messy hair!

Elizabeth and Danielle worked together to create a nursery for the boys. They converted the old guest room into a jungle themed room, but Elizabeth felt it was too small. She and Timmothy agreed it was time to expand the house to support their growing family.

Danielle was a huge help for Timmothy and Elizabeth and spent a lot of her time helping with the kids. Timmothy insisted, though, that she go out and have a little fun for herself without the kids for a while. So she headed out to shake her groove thang at Purple Passion.

Elizabeth also took care of the pony Timmothy bought for Faith, Ariel, while Faith was at school. It gave the kids a chance to get outside for a little bit, too, and helped Ariel feel like a member of the family.

Timmothy loved being home with the family and playing with the boys. It was so much easier now that they were a little older and could do more on their own. That meant more time to play and have fun.

The girls were sent toy dolls from their great uncle, Dante Leday. Francesca LOVED her Buddy and played with him a lot.

Fionna would play with Bobo every now and then, but she was happier playing with the blocks or xylophone.

School was fun, but Faith hated having to come home and do homework. She’d much rather be outside with Ariel or playing on the swing.

The family celebrated another birthday – Ariel! She grew up into a big horse and was ready to learn to ride, run and jump. Elizabeth was ecstatic to go for a ride again, it had been a while.

Time is really moving for the kids in the Leday house. What kind of kids will they grow into? Only time (and the next chapter) will tell.

The Dream

With the twin’s now toddlers and her parents busy with the boys, Faith drifted into herself and found her imagination. She loved her new pony, Ariel, and would pretend to be a cowgirl or a princess with her noble steed. Her serious disposition fooled no one. She may not be the youngest kid in the house, getting all of the attention, but she was certainly a very happy girl.

When the boys came home, the family had a ton of leftovers. Chocolate cake works as breakfast, too, doesn’t it?

Faith never missed an opportunity to hang out with her mother any chance she got, which was usually around dinner time after school.

Meanwhile, Danielle was able to find some time to steal away in the library to work on her political memoirs. She had been in office for almost thirty years and after having accomplished a major goal (to better relations between Sims and vampires in Sunset Valley) she felt the time was right to write the book in the hopes that other communities may benefit from her experience as a leader.

Elizabeth and Timmothy had their hands full with their youngest four. The boys didn’t command too much attention, but were fussy, much to the dismay of older sister Francesca, who demanded attention every moment she could. They had many sleepless nights caring for the kids, but as tired as they may be, they were enjoying it…. Usually at nap time and bed time.

And then there was the laundry. So. Much. Laundry. Babies and toddlers go through so much laundry, plus a little girl running around outside with her new pony on top of all of the usual laundry. Eventually, the machine would go on the fritz, adding yet another to-do on Timmothy’s lengthening list of honey-do’s.

The three adults really stayed busy taking care of all of the little ones and tried to ensure no one felt neglected. Plus, it was fun to help them learn and watch them grow.

Faith was usually outside with Ariel when she wasn’t at school. They’re favorite game to play lately had been Princess and the Pony and were usually playing by the flowers in the family cemetery. As macabre as it may sound, it was really the perfect spot to pretend to be in a forest.

It seemed while she was out playing, she woke Narcissa, who came inside to formally introduce herself to Her Majesty, Lady Faith.

Narcissa adored the little girl, so naturally she’d oblige her request for a bedtime story, since everyone else was busy getting both sets of twins ready for bed. She picked an old book and sat at her bed to read.

That night, Faith dreamt of a beautiful princess in her castle.

The Princess spoke to the people and they told her they needed her help.

So she went to the forest to help her people find wood to build their homes and buildings.

When suddenly a robber jumped out from the brush and attacked the princess.

But the princess was more skilled and beat the robber and saved the people.

There’s never a dull a moment in the Leday house these days. Whatever will happen next? Only the next chapter will tell!

Babies & Birthdays

Life was going well for everyone and after the holidays the nursery was finally finished to let the girls move in, and just in time – they would be toddlers soon! To show off their hard work here’s the new room. The nicjnamed the girls, ‘the little Princesses’ and it seemed to fit the mood Elizabeth was in when she picked out the wallpaper for their room. The adorable princess castles nestled between big snow-capped mountains with a pretty rainbow would definitely add a lot of character and charm to their room and make it a place they’d want to spend time in. She hired a designer to help her find all of the just right pieces to accept the room, such as these adorable baby swings for the girls.

Elizabeth was out rummaging through thrift and consignment stores and flea markets looking for some good pieces for the girls room when she found these canopied cribs and the very-unique wooden toy chest in the shape of a castle tower! The consignment store owner was asking a pretty hefty price for them, but the Little Princesses were worth it, she thought.

Another shot of the nursery with a view into the adjoining bathroom, which she updated the wallpaper and installed the laminate flooring herself (well, added to Timmothy’s Honey-Do List.)

Faith’s room was still under construction, which meant the toys were mostly collected in the twin’s room. Faith didn’t really mind, she liked playing in the nursery while the girls swung in their swings.

Faith REALLY took after her mother at this stage! She is almost a spitting image of Elizabeth (causing a little confusion for me! LOL)

It seemed that Elizabeth and Timmothy were even more eager for a boy when they announced their third pregnancy. Timmothy was certainly not getting any younger and he shared with Elizabeth how wonderful it would be to have a son. She enjoyed being pregnant, so it wasn’t really tough to talk her into trying. This third pregnancy she felt every step of the way, though. She was constantly sore and sick to her stomach. How strange that this pregnancy would be so different from the last two.

To help relieve her aching muscles, Timmothy arranged for an evening of relaxation and quiet at the Salon & Spa in town.

Soon it was time to celebate another birthday…or two…well, make that three. All three girls shared a birthday (great timing!) so the family planned a backyard barbecue dinner. Elizabeth was very pregnant at the party, but the baby wasn’t due for a while still so she felt fine helping with the evening’s festivities.

Timmothy wanted to really spoil his daughter, and since Faith reminded him a lot of her mother, he decided she should have her own pony. Little Ariel wanted to be with the people at the party, instead of in the quiet stable.

Aww little Eliza – I mean Faith! Wow, she is turning into her mother, she looks just like her! What a pretty girl with such big green eyes.

Now time for the Little Princesses…

Little Fionna grew into a toddler looking a lot like her daddy. She got her father’s large eyes but her mother’s eye color. Looks like she will need to wait a bit on that hair, though.

And then it was Princess Francesca’s turn. She was somehow miraculously able to sleep through the singing and cheering and Danielle had to wake her for her own party.

Francesca grew into an adorable little toddler. Elizabeth had picked out bows for each girl’s hair, but Francesca was the only one who wanted them in.

They went inside to enjoy some cake but before Elizabeth sat down she felt a PAINFUL squeeze tightl n her belly… the baby!

Oh my, what uncanny timing this baby has! Guess he/she wants to join the party, too!

They quickly rushed Elizabeth to the hospital and surprised everyone in attendance with not one boy, but TWO! It seemed that fate had heard their pleas for a boy and blessed them with two little guys. Timmothy brought Fredrick home.

And Elizabeth carried Farin inside.

Both boys were a real delight for their parents, they never suspected they would have such a big family of cute kids. With 5 little ones in the house, plus a young foal, will Elizabeth be able to care and share attention with all of them? Will Timmothy leave to see his sons grow? And will Danielle ever get out of the house for a life of her own? Find out in the next chapter!
