A Rebellious Teen is Born - Welcome Gen 3!

Maura mothered three children to Bryce: Chelsea, Christopher and Corbin. Bryce was a bit of a traditionalist and wanted his heir to be his first born male heir, so the Legacy continues with Christopher, but this posting focuses on his sister, Chelsea. Before jumping right in, here's little Christopher posed for a quick picture after his birthday party. He looks a lot like his grandfather Adrian. He was especially proud of his blue suede shoes, however, a gift from grandma Maura.

Corbin was the youngest of the three. He was a smart little kid who loved to just stay busy. Here, the family is celebrating Chelsea’s teen birthday. Bryce is to the right and walking in the background is Josef, a very important character.

Ahh, Chelsea. She was the eldest child and the only daughter. Maura adored her as a child, but for whatever reason (possibly the family’s genetic Insane trait) Chelsea grew up trying to be ANYTHING but her mother. She was the poster child for rebellious teen. In this pic, she’s celebrating her teen birthday. The Insane trait is a genetic trait, hence her swimwear. She’s speaking with Josef Adair, her high school crush.

Here he is in all his glory, Josef Adair. He was one of the first vampires the family ever knew and he was Chelsea’s best friend and longtime romantic interest. Josef has some serious commitment issues and would never agree to anything steady with Chelsea, thus angering Bryce and Maura. But Chelsea was madly in love with him and pursued him like a lionness after her dinner.

Chelsea spent a lot o time in her room (which she decorated) painting at her easel. She was a very gifted girl and had a real eye for beautiful art that her mother simply did not appreciate it. This was just another divide between them. Where Maura enjoyed fitness and sport, Chelsea preferred the couch. Maura enjoyed chatting with the neighbors and getting to know others whereas Chelsea longed to be alone. Theirs was a very rocky relationship.

It seemed that though they had passed on, Adrian and Narcissa still cared deeply for their family. One evening Chelsea had run into Narcissa after arguing with her mother. The distraught teen felt much better knowing there was someone in the house she could finally talk to.

Being a parent is rough at times and it’s nice to share your stress with someone who’s been in your shoes. Adrian stopped by one night to check in and found Bryce in the living room.

Eventually Chelsea made it to adult hood, but she had really perfected herself as a rebel. Outwardly, she defied everything Maura had ever wanted for her. However, she was definitely her own personality.

Maura hated the Chelsea got tattooed. She was so young and she worried her daughter would eventually grow up and realize she didn’t like the ink. Chelsea, however, loved that it bothered her mother the way it did. Plus, she loved it as an art form, something else her mother never appreciated with her Can’t Stand Art trait.

She still loved Josef madly and was constantly calling him, visiting him at home or finding him wherever she could. He seemed to keep his guard up around her but occasionally she was able to get through and he would agree for a date or a kiss. But Chelsea was relentless, she was determined to get the man she wanted.

After months of pursuing him, she got lucky to be asked on a date. A few “special” drinks later she convinced him to come home with her and later, stay the night.

It would figure the first rendezvous would result in a baby. Luckily, Chelsea was deemed mature enough (only because she was old enough) to mother the baby. And Maura was extremely happy to be a grandmother, which helped a lot.

Maura loved being a grandmother almost as much, possibly more than, being a parent. Baby Danielle was the real apple of her eye and she was delighted to be there to help raise her. Danielle was born a vampire (from Josef) and has been a very unique and fun Sim to play (she’s also my first vampire to play!)

Danielle was a really cute kid, even if she was bald for a decent portion of life. She was a brilliantly smart baby and learned new skills very quickly.

But would Chelsea be able to break out of her rebellious stage and finally enter adulthood for real now that she was a mother herself? What would happened between she and Josef? And how is Christopher? More to come in the next chapter!
