The small family had grown to four in little time. Big brother Bryce got to welcome his younger brother, Brandon, to the family. But Adrian insisted his heir would be his first born, so our story continues along Bryce’s lifetime and the family he created.
Little Bryce loved learning and exploring the world around him. He was an inquisitive child who asked a lot of questions and stayed out of trouble, much to his parents delight. He was a really good boy who made his parents very proud.
As time went by, the family was able to make more additions to the house. Narcissa continued in her culinary endeavors and began a family garden in the large backyard (you can see the fence out the window in the picture.) After her boys were born, she quit her job at the diner to focus on motherhood. She was glad for it because the boys seemed to grow up over night. Bryce had grown into a very handsome teenager, taking on characteristics of both of his parents.
Brandon, Bryce’s younger brother, was also growing into a good-looking man. His interests had taken him to distant lands. Narcissa worried for her son, however he was a good boy and called home often.
Sunset Valley was becoming a bigger and bigger town each day, attracting Sims of all walks of life, which meant the dating pool was growing steadily for Bryce. He had met Justine Keaton at the park one day and it seemed like love at first sight. While the Leday family was looked at with pride by the community, the Keaton’s were a bit shady. Narcissa hated the idea her son had fallen for one of their kind, but she didn’t want to interfere in her son’s life too much. Instead, she let him make his own decisions, even loving Justine.
Bryce and Justine dated for a while. He loved her completely and had asked her several times to marry him, but she never would accept (perhaps Narcissa had something to do with this?) Eventually, she said yes one evening.
Unfortunately, the marriage only lasted a short while. Justine lost her life in a tragic housefire.
It wasn’t long before Bryce would find love again. Shortly after Justine’s death, he met an attractive young socialite, Maura. Maura had come to Sunset Valley to pursue her interests in fashion and design. She had no family or friends in the new town, but she and Bryce hit it off instantly. Maura was a total package – she was smart, educated and looked gorgeous. How could he resist?
Some Sims might be afraid of ghosts or exes, but not Maura. She found good in ALL Sims. After she and Bryce married (a very small ceremony at home) she was visited by Justine. Maura was grantedly taken aback by the spirit, but she soon came to understand Justine simply wanted the best for Bryce and was happy that he had found that in Maura. The two women got along with each other ever since.
Maura was able to launch her fashion design career quickly and she enjoyed it immensely. She loved getting around town to meet other Sims in her community and share her love of fashion. She was able to use this opportunity to network with others and make important connections. It’s from this hardwork of netowrking that she would later become one of the most venerated residents of Sunset Valley.
Maura also believed fiercely in taking care of yourself physically and mentally. She enjoyed athletics but her most favorite activity was martial arts. She had a special client request her work in China and she became enamored with the culture and the sport. The client, more than pleased with her good work, sent her a training dummy to encourage her to keep up her good work.
China, Egypt, France…. It didn’t matter where the work was, if Maura could do it she went. On a trip to Egypt, she found some comfort in her meditations. The family at home was growing and the kids had grown into teens – arguing, fighting and rebelling teens. But in Egypt she was able to escape both mentally and physically, letting her return refreshed and ready for the challenges of parenthood.
Bryce and Maura were wonderful heirs to the 2nd generation. I really, really loved Maura. She was a Sim that I just had a lot of fun with. She was very bright, really pretty and she loved being a mom. She also made some good lookin' babies - check'em out in Generation 3!

It's sad his first relationship with Justine was ended so tragically, but I'm happy for him that he found someone else who wants to make him happy :)
